January at Salamanders
January at Salamanders
First off, we would like to send a huge THANK YOU to the many folks that visited Salamanders during the festive season for their family or group party. Everyone, including our staff, had a great time. It was like having a continuous house party. We deeply appreciate the feedback on our food and apologize (not too much) for contributing to your avoirdupois.
Next, we want to send an equally huge THANK YOU for one heck of a summer on the patio. We were packed solid most of the time and the ongoing commentary on how the site, food and service came together was very gratifying and encouraging. Thanks also go to those great and local musical groups who made the place rock. Musicians, stay tuned for more!
What folks who visit us seem to appreciate is the peaceful atmosphere: y’all seem to decompress as soon as you walk through our doors. There are no TVs blaring and drawing your attention away from what is really important, which is: talking to each other. We get rave reviews for our food of course: Liane and her intrepid team are very conscientious in preparing the best food with the best ingredients. Liane is always pouring over our large collection of cookbooks to adapt something new and special for our guests. Meanwhile, Paul is posting recipe ideas in the North Grenville Times Food Corner (electronic copy available from Beth Donovan Hospice).
What’s coming up for the New Year? Well, we will have the usual St. Patrick’s and Valentine day celebrations. Salamanders gets “slammed” (translation: very busy) on those days, so we encourage your to book ahead. There will also be some special events that we will announce well ahead of time so that if you’re not down in the Caribbean or in Florida, you can grace us with your presence. There is a major art exhibit and event happening shortly called Froid d’Art. You won’t want to miss visiting us for that event, put on by the North Grenville Arts Guild. I don’t have to mention that the artists of the region are always present on the walls at Salamanders. We are honoured to be part of the Guild’s program of showing the art of their members.
We at Salamanders are all looking forward to seeing our loyal friends and fans in the New Year and wish you all health and prosperity. We are also meeting new friends and we are very grateful that you rapidly become fans.
So, come one, come all and lunch, dine and enjoy yourselves at Salamanders of Kemptville!
